Simple and quick manner to copy files from RX 100 to PC computer folder?
Apr 15, 2017
How-do-you-do:
I have the RX 100 Mk2 and am looking for the quickest and easiest way to copy photos (JPG and RAW files) from the camera to a specific binder on my PC computer.
What I have been doing is removing the SIM card from the camera, plugging it into my PC and copying to the destination folder with the Windows Explorer.
I notice the Sony PlayMemories software too disruptive and not actually accomplishing this. Can´t I somehow transfer the files from the camera through my home WiFi to the PC, without having to get through the hassle of connecting through USB or shuffling the SIM bill of fare out of the camera?

I take the RX100Mk1 and have used an Heart-Fi carte du jour for wireless transfer you desire. Peradventure the Mk2 has wireless built in but I do not know that.

I have diverse sizes USB cables coming out of my computer for my cameras, phones, ereaders, GPS, etc. I simply plug one that fits into the Sony photographic camera and transfer the files that manner through Windows Explorer. Much quicker than having to remove the SD bill of fare and less chance of corrupting the files on it.
Wanting to do it over wifi would just exist much slower transfer rates, and with each photo around 20MB, it would be painful to transfer a lot of files that way.
